The greatest strength of search engine marketing, or SEO (Search Engine Optimization), is that a company’s advertisement appears at the right time in the right place, that is, at the moment when a motivated buyer makes their first search to find a product or service. The goal is not to market to a broad audience, but to target the customer who currently needs the service or product with extreme precision. What is particularly positive is that search engine marketing gives both small and large companies an equal opportunity to stand out; all that matters is the investment in their marketing. SEM or SEO
What is the difference between search engine marketing, or SEM, and the more common search engine optimization, or SEO? Search engine marketing focuses on paid advertising, thanks to which a company’s ads appear at the top of the search results. In the case of SEO, companies rather “earn” this position by using the most relevant search terms on their website. Both search engine marketing and optimization are some of the best digital marketing techniques today. By the way, search engine marketing focuses most on Google. Why? Because more than 35% of all searches in the world currently go through this environment. In other parts of the world, they also focus on Bing Ads, for example, but at least in Estonia it is not relevant and you should not invest your time or money there.
Work done: We performed an SEO analysis for the MyFinance.ee website, mapped 20 keywords. We created content for the keywords and optimized their page for these keywords and increased the domain authority through external links. As a result, 12 out of 20 keywords are on the front page and 9 keywords are in the top three on the front page!

Search engine marketing needs a strategy
So what does a successful Search Engine Marketing strategy look like? First of all, it requires both the necessary budget and the presence of people who know the subject. If you have absolutely no experience with the topic, we recommend turning to professionals. Since search engine marketing is complex and requires basic knowledge and experience, you will ultimately save both money and time.
Work done: We mapped 12 keywords for Sunco that people use to search for their services on Google. We created content for the corresponding keywords on the page and optimized the page for these keywords as well. Then we created blog posts and links that increased the authority of the sunco.ee domain externally. As a result, we got six out of the twelve keywords to the first page in Google search results in three months.

Search engine marketing is based on keywords
Preliminary work is very important in search engine marketing. This includes mapping the most important keywords for a company or brand and analyzing them. It is determined with which words the company, brand, product or service is most often searched. Thanks to this, a campaign or advertisement can be created that focuses on the right keywords. Now, when a potential customer searches for the necessary word, the first thing they see on the search page is the advertisement created for that keyword. But where does the paid part come in? When the customer clicks on the first advertisement, the fee is collected from the company that created the advertisement.
In simple terms, one search engine marketing strategy looks like this:
- The product or service you want to advertise is selected.
- A budget is set for the campaign.
- Keyword analysis is performed
- The first ad is created in Google Adwords, keeping in mind the keywords found.
- Analyzing the results
- Necessary changes will be made based on the results.
- If the campaign is successful, it will be continued to bring in more new customers.
Leave search engine marketing to the experts
All of this may seem too simple at first glance. Unfortunately, experience shows that a novice search engine marketer will spend time and money that they could be spending on developing their business. Therefore, we recommend that you turn to professionals who know what they are doing. This way, well-thought-out and targeted search engine marketing will bring in customers and money, not take it away.
