Mobile application currently under development:
UI / UX design and development of the Learn Med Pro mobile application. This is a large-scale medical education mobile application. We created a visual identity for the app. We established the structure of the mobile application’s user journey (UX) and designed the appearance of the user interface (UI). We put our heads together with the team and came up with a character that runs through the application – the brain! We create animations of the character to make the application more engaging and interactive. The application consists of three parts: Admin interface on a desktop computer, API and mobile application. The project is currently under development.

Types of mobile applications
Native mobile apps
IOS mobile apps
Mobile applications for iOS devices are developed using the Swift development framework. Applications that are developed specifically for the iOS platform are called Native iOS apps. Whether it makes sense to develop an app for Android or iOS, or both, depends on who will use it and on what devices.
Android mobile applications
Android apps are developed using Java or Kotlin frameworks. A few years ago, when a company wanted to create a mobile app that would work on both Android and iOS, the only option was to create two separate apps that shared a single database. Apps that are developed specifically for the Android platform are called Native Android apps.
The advantage of native mobile applications is that they work the most smoothly, and the disadvantage is that two separate applications have to be created, and if further developments are made, they also need to be developed in separate code bases.
Cross-platform mobile applications
Cross-platform means that the application shares a single codebase and database, but is available on both Android and iOS in parallel. Cross-platform apps are developed on the React Native or Flutter framework, which allows the application to run on both Android and iOS devices with a single codebase, meaning the development budget is more affordable than developing the application for iOS and Android separately.
Low-code mobile applications
Nowadays, there are tools that simplify app design, development and allow you to easily build an app database and upload it to the IOS and Android stores quickly and smoothly. Tools like Firebase by Google, Codemagic and finally software that remains our trade secret. For our client, this means that it is possible to develop an application many times cheaper than developing a Native mobile application from scratch.
Web Applications – (PWA)
Web applications on Laravel, NodeJS and VueJS or ReactJS frameworks are a good option for developing web platforms. In terms of price range, web application development is more affordable than native mobile app development and hybrid application creation. A web application cannot be uploaded to the App Store or Google Play Store. A web application is a web-based platform, but it still has a very good loading speed and in terms of functionality, you can develop map applications, booking systems, order centers, work management platforms and whatever you need.

Mobile application case study
We developed the webquer.ee procurement platform on the Laravel + VueJS framework. It is a progressive web application (PWA) with very good loading speed. The prototype of the platform was designed in the Figma design environment. We created the back-end portal logic, created the database structure and developed the front-end views on the VueJS framework. We created the functionality for adding procurements and making bids for procurements. We set up registration with Facebook and Google. We developed the functionality for managing users and procurement approvals and translation for the admin. We set up automatic email sending. The project lasted four months.

What is the difference between a Native mobile app and a web app?
A web app cannot be uploaded to the App Store at the same time as a native mobile app. The budget for web app development is lower than that for native mobile app development and can often meet the needs of businesses.
