vDesign experience with Laravel development
The vDisain team has already developed Laravel in several projects. For example, Eliis Tarkvara, which is used by almost every kindergarten in Estonia and has 200,000 users, to manage the educational path of preschool children and provide the state and parents with an overview and reporting. Eliis Tarkvara has several developers in the team, but it is not possible to develop all the requirements with its own team. We were able to help them build a children’s development idea bank module with our own team. We will definitely cooperate on Laravel development in the future.
The webquer.ee procurement platform was also developed on the Laravel + VueJS framework. The platform views were designed by OKIA designer in Figma. We created the back-end portal logic, created the database structure and developed the front-end views on the VueJS framework. The project lasted four months.

We are currently developing a Laravel platform between Ursum Oܑs beauty products e-shop and Merit Aktiva. The platform provides an overview of the packaging process, which products need to be sent to the customer and which tester products need to be packed. The platform also helps to display products that have exceeded the sales deadline in the e-shop in a separate discount category. Packaging labels are generated, sent to the printer and printed automatically. Different price lists apply to larger volume customers. Sales invoices are sent to Merit Aktiva. All of this reduces manual work and overall labor costs.
In what situation is Laravel a good framework to choose for development?
Laravel is a good framework for building specialized solutions – booking systems, customer management systems, e-shops with extensive business logic, or order centers. It is often better to use Laravel than a ready-made content management platform like WordPress or Prestashop or Magento.
- Rewriting and over-developing ready-made content management platforms is often more extensive and expensive than developing a platform from scratch using Laravel.
- Reliability – Ready-made content management platforms such as WordPress, Magento, Prestashop versions need to be updated frequently. Also plugins. The disadvantage is that the source code of the platform is dynamic and there are errors. Laravel does not need to be updated.
- Availability of development resources – Laravel is based on the PHP framework and there is a fairly high percentage of developers with a PHP background. If the developer has strong PHP experience, Laravel is quite easy to learn.
- Cost-effectiveness – 1.5 to 2 times cheaper than NodeJS or Ruby on Rails development.
- Frontend development can be done using modern technologies like ReactJS, VueJS, AngularJS, or NuxtJS, which allow for ultra-fast page load speeds.
