What is SEO optimization?

SEO optimization is the optimization of a website for search engines, which allows you to increase the number of visitors to a website through search engines such as Google and Bing. This is extremely important for search engine robots, which analyze a website using an algorithm.

It consists of several stages, the most complex of which is often the mapping and analysis of the existing website (SEO audit), which results in finding the weakest aspects of the website. Once the shortcomings are listed, it is possible to correct them and start optimizing the website. It is certainly important to note here that this is not a one-time project, but the best and long-term results are achieved through regular work.

We mapped 12 keywords for Sunco that people use to search for their services on Google. We created content for the corresponding keywords on the page and optimized the page for these keywords as well. Then, we created blog posts and links that increased the authority of the sunco.ee domain externally. As a result, we got six out of the twelve keywords to the first page in Google search results in three months.

What are the basic SEO mistakes?

Regular SEO optimization helps prevent your website from becoming outdated, losing authority, and losing traffic. If your website hasn’t been optimized yet, it’s a good idea to first check for basic SEO errors.

Some of the basic mistakes that SEO optimization can help fix are:

  • Unoptimized page titles, or Google search result titles, that lack keywords that best match the industry or company. When writing a title, it is important to start with a specific keyword and also include the company name, for example: “Building Reconstruction – Estlander Grupp”
  • The website has no content, meaning there is no content that would interest a potential customer and make them click on the website in search results. This includes creating content for the website, as this can increase the credibility and authority of your website for search engine robots, but also provide the customer with useful information and meet their expectations.
  • An unoptimized URL that is extremely long, full of symbols and unnecessary adverbs and conjunctions. An ideal URL consists of just a few words, containing the main keyword of the page.
  • Lack of metadata, which makes the website unattractive to the customer when displayed in a search engine. The meta title and description on each page of the website must be optimized, which must be thematic, correspond to the keyword being searched for, and also be catchy so that a potential customer clicks on the link.
